Double Wheel Powder Filling Machine delivers high-speed, precise dosing of sterile injectable dry powders into vials for pharmaceutical production lines. Designed with dual powder wheels and hoppers, it significantly outperforms single-wheel systems by achieving outputs of 80–240 vials per minute (depending on fill size and dosing configuration), making it ideal for high-volume sterile packaging environments. This advanced machine uses vacuum and air systems combined with precision-engineered powder wheels to draw and dispense sterilized powder accurately. Vials move under the dual wheels, which fill from synchronized hoppers equipped with mechanical agitators to maintain consistent powder flow and prevent bridging. Multiple dosing capability (single, double, triple, or quadruple) is achieved via change parts, covering fill ranges from 50 mg to 1.5 g in a single dose and up to 6 g in multi-dose operations. Filling accuracy reaches ±1% under controlled humidity conditions (typically below 28% RH), ensuring uniform density and minimizing product giveaway.
Built to strict cGMP and often FDA-aligned standards, the Double Wheel Powder Filling Machine features SS 316L contact parts for corrosion resistance, easy autoclaving, and sterility assurance. The compact design frequently integrates an online vibratory rubber stoppering unit, placing 20 mm stoppers immediately after filling. This monobloc approach saves cleanroom space, shortens laminar airflow requirements, and reduces overall line length while maintaining process integrity. Safety interlocks such as “No Vial – No Filling,” low-air and low-vacuum detection, and stopper presence sensors automatically halt operation to prevent waste or incomplete seals.
Key operational advantages include independent infeed and outfeed turntables with separate drives for smooth vial handling, heavy-duty powder-wheel mounting for long-term reliability, and tool-free or quick-change components for rapid product changeovers. Operators benefit from PLC/HMI controls that allow recipe storage, real-time monitoring, and precise adjustment of piston depth in the powder-wheel ports to fine-tune dose volume. The machine typically handles vial sizes from approximately 5 ml to 100 ml (diameters 22–56 mm depending on model), with adjustable conveyor heights for seamless integration into existing packaging lines.
In pharmaceutical manufacturing, the Double Wheel Powder Filling Machine is essential for injectable antibiotics, lyophilized powders, and other sterile dry formulations where accuracy, sterility, and throughput directly impact regulatory compliance and production economics. Its dual-wheel architecture reduces cycle times compared with single-wheel units, lowers per-unit costs through higher efficiency, and supports consistent quality that meets the exacting demands of global regulatory bodies. Dust containment, minimal residual powder at batch end, and hygienic design further enhance operator safety and cleanability.
Manufacturers and packaging engineers value this equipment for its proven performance in controlled environments, robust construction that withstands continuous operation, and ability to deliver repeatable results across varying powder characteristics when humidity is properly managed. By combining high output, exceptional dosing precision, integrated stoppering, and full regulatory alignment, the Double Wheel Powder Filling Machine stands as a trusted solution for modern sterile powder filling operations seeking both productivity and product integrity.
The incoming sterilized dry bottle is fed through the in-feed turn table. Suitable guide supply bottles on to flat conveyor belt at the required speed for feeding. There is filling head mounted on machine top plate in the same line. When bottle reaches to the mechanical holder detained filling station, Bottle sensor sense the bottles and Magnetic clutch starts to rotate which is mounted on auger shaft. It fills the desired amount of powder into the bottle through auger, where rotation time is previously determined. Duly filled bottles go upward on to the sealing station with the help of SS conveyor belt.

It is an automatic pharmaceutical machine designed for high-speed, accurate filling of sterile dry injectable powders into glass vials. It uses two powder wheels (hoppers) for higher throughput compared to single-wheel models, often combined with an integrated rubber stoppering system for aseptic packaging.
Typical output ranges from 80 to 240 vials per minute (depending on fill volume, vial size, and powder characteristics). Single-dose fills generally achieve higher speeds, while multiple dosing reduces output proportionally.
It commonly fills 50 mg to 1.5 g in a single dose and up to 6 g with multiple dosing (using change parts). Filling accuracy is typically ±1% (or up to ±2–3% depending on the model), provided powder bulk density is uniform and humidity is controlled below 28% RH.
It handles glass vials from approximately 5 ml to 100 ml (diameters around 22–56 mm or 25–38 mm depending on the model). Standard rubber stoppers are 20 mm (with change parts for other sizes). Contact parts are usually SS 316L for sterility.
Two powder wheels with pistons and vacuum/air systems meter powder from agitated hoppers. Vials move under the wheels on a conveyor or star-wheel system. Excess powder is scraped by doctor blades, and the exact dose is deposited. A built-in vibratory unit then places rubber stoppers.
Common features include compact cGMP design, “No Vial – No Fill” system, multiple dosing capability, tool-less changeovers for hoppers/agitators, independent infeed/outfeed turntables, low air/vacuum detection interlocks, and easy-to-clean SS 316L contact parts suitable for autoclaving.
Typical requirements are 3-phase 415 V / 50 Hz (or single-phase options), 3–4.5 HP power, filtered oil-free compressed air at about 4 kg/cm², and vacuum of around 28” Hg at 300–500 LPM. Conveyor height is usually adjustable (815–940 mm).
Yes. It is built to cGMP, FDA, and often CE standards with SS 316L product-contact parts, minimal clearance designs to reduce contamination risk, and compatibility with laminar airflow or cleanroom setups. Built-in stoppering saves space under LAF units.
Contact parts are designed for easy removal and sterilization. Tool-less adjustments for doctor blades, wipers, hoppers, and agitators speed up changeovers. Regular cleaning of hoppers, wheels, and vacuum systems, plus monitoring of humidity and powder consistency, ensures consistent performance.
