Dry Syrup Filling Machine is specialized pharmaceutical packaging equipment designed to accurately dispense dry powder formulations—commonly known as dry syrups or reconstitutable oral suspensions—into bottles. These powders are later mixed with water by the end user to form liquid syrups, offering superior chemical stability, longer shelf life, lighter shipping weight, and reduced risk of leakage compared to ready-to-use liquid syrups. Widely used for pediatric antibiotics, vitamins, probiotics, and other moisture-sensitive medications, this machine plays a critical role in modern pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Leading Dry Syrup Filling Machines operate primarily on auger (screw) filling or vacuum-based dosing principles. In auger systems, a servo-controlled screw precisely meters powder from a hopper into bottles, while vacuum models use controlled suction and air pressure for consistent fills of fine or free-flowing powders. Many advanced models are monoblock designs that integrate filling and capping in one unit, minimizing contamination risks and handling times. Typical output ranges from 20–120 bottles per minute (or higher on rotary high-speed lines), with fill ranges of 5 g to 100 g or more, and accuracy often within ±1–2% under controlled humidity (typically below 30% RH).
Key features of a high-quality Dry Syrup Powder Filling Machine include cGMP-compliant construction with SS 316/316L contact parts for hygiene and corrosion resistance, “No Bottle – No Fill” sensors to eliminate wastage of expensive powders, PLC + HMI controls for easy recipe storage and operation, dust extraction systems, and quick-change tooling for different bottle sizes (commonly 15–500 ml glass, PET, or HDPE). Optional integrations such as online checkweighers, nitrogen flushing, SCADA/21 CFR Part 11 compliance, and full packaging lines (cleaning, capping, measuring cup placement, and labeling) further enhance productivity and regulatory readiness.
These machines deliver significant operational advantages. Automation reduces manual labor and human error, boosts throughput, ensures batch-to-batch consistency essential for patient safety, and supports efficient changeovers. In the pharmaceutical industry—especially for pediatric formulations like amoxicillin or cefixime dry suspensions—precise dosing is non-negotiable for efficacy and compliance with FDA, WHO, and cGMP standards. Beyond pharma, the same technology serves nutraceuticals, food powders, veterinary products, and chemicals. When selecting a Dry Syrup Filling Machine, prioritize filling accuracy, material of construction, ease of cleaning/sterilization, humidity control compatibility, and scalability. Reputable manufacturers with proven industry experience provide robust after-sales support, validation documentation, and customized solutions tailored to production volumes. Investing in a reliable automatic dry syrup powder filler improves product quality, reduces operational costs, and helps manufacturers meet growing global demand for stable, convenient reconstitutable medicines.
Whether for small-batch pilot production or high-volume commercial lines, a well-engineered Dry Syrup Filling Machine remains an essential asset for efficient, compliant, and contamination-free powder packaging in the pharmaceutical sector.
Sterilized empty bottles are first received on the in-feed turntable. Properly aligned guides then transfer the bottles onto a flat conveyor belt, moving them forward at the set feeding speed. The filling head is mounted on the machine’s top plate in line with the conveyor path.
As each bottle arrives at the mechanical holding station, a bottle sensor detects its presence and activates the magnetic clutch mounted on the auger shaft. The auger then rotates for a pre-set duration, accurately dispensing the required quantity of powder into the bottle. Once filled, the bottles are conveyed upward on a stainless-steel conveyor belt toward the sealing station.

A Dry Syrup Filling Machine is specialized pharmaceutical packaging equipment designed to accurately fill dry powder formulations (reconstitutable oral suspensions) into bottles. These powders are later mixed with water by the end user to form liquid syrup. The machine is widely used for pediatric antibiotics, vitamins, probiotics, and other moisture-sensitive medications.
The machine is available in two models:
Actual output depends on powder characteristics, fill volume, and bottle size.
The machine fills 5 g to 70 g per dose (customizable with change parts). It delivers filling accuracy of ±2%, depending on the powder type, when operated under controlled humidity below 28% RH.
Sterilized empty bottles enter via an infeed turntable and conveyor. Sensors detect each bottle and activate a magnetic clutch on the auger shaft. The auger rotates for a pre-set time, dispensing the exact quantity of powder through a rotary funnel system with vibratory assistance. Filled bottles are then conveyed for sealing/capping and exit via the outfeed star wheel.
It is suitable for glass, PET, HDPE, and LDPE bottles with a maximum diameter of 85 mm and height of up to 200 mm.
Dry syrup powders are highly sensitive to moisture. The machine requires humidity to be maintained below 28% RH (arranged by the customer) to ensure consistent powder flow, accurate dosing, and to prevent clumping or sticking.
Yes. It features a monoblock design fully compliant with cGMP standards. All product-contact parts are made of SS316 stainless steel and are designed for easy cleaning, autoclaving, and sterilization to meet pharmaceutical hygiene requirements.
It is used in the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Biotech, Herbal, Ayurvedic, Cosmetic, Chemical, and Food industries for filling dry syrups, antibiotic powders, supplements, probiotics, and other free-flowing or semi-free-flowing powders.
Key benefits include high filling accuracy and consistency, increased production speed, reduced labor costs and human error, minimal powder wastage, improved hygiene and contamination control, easy changeovers, and long-term cost savings with strong ROI.
