Vial Filling Machine is a technically sophisticated and highly engineered device designed to accurately fill and dispense liquid or powder materials into vials. These prefabricated small bottles, typically made from high-quality borosilicate glass or specialized polymers, serve as primary containers for pharmaceutical injectables, vaccines, and other sterile products. Because the process involves open handling of containers between cleaning and sealing stages, vial filling machines operate under the strictest environmental hygiene and regulatory standards to ensure product safety and sterility. In the pharmaceutical sector, vial liquid filling machines play a vital role in high-precision production. These robust, automated systems are built to perform rapid, repeatable filling operations while maintaining exceptional accuracy and compliance with cGMP, FDA, and international guidelines. As experienced manufacturers with deep domain expertise, we design vial filling equipment that pharmaceutical companies trust for consistent performance, minimal wastage, and regulatory reliability.
A complete vial filling and stoppering system typically consists of several integrated modules:
Vials move along the conveyor belt to the filling station, where advanced nozzles deliver the exact volume of product. The system supports liquids of varying viscosities, from thin aqueous solutions to thicker suspensions, making it versatile across multiple formulations.
Modern vial filling machines utilize the volumetric filling principle combined with diving nozzles that descend into the vial during filling. This technique prevents foaming, splashing, and aeration while ensuring sterile and accurate dosing. Multiple filling heads allow simultaneous processing of several vials, significantly boosting productivity to meet demanding pharmaceutical production schedules. These machines are available in various configurations — from compact 2-head models for smaller batches to high-speed 8-head or multi-head systems for large-scale manufacturing. The flexibility in design makes them suitable for diverse applications, including antibiotics, biologics, vaccines, and diagnostic reagents.
One of the biggest advantages of investing in a high-quality automatic vial filling machine is its ability to deliver precise, repeatable results with minimal product loss. The robust construction, combined with servo-driven controls, PLC automation, and user-friendly HMI interfaces, ensures smooth operation and quick changeovers between different vial sizes and fill volumes.
Key benefits include:
Pharmaceutical manufacturers rely on these machines because they combine speed, precision, and reliability — essential factors when handling sensitive and often expensive drug products.

The incoming dry vials (sterilized and siliconized) are fed through the unscrambler and suitably guided on the moving Delrin slat conveyor belt at the required speed of the correct placement below filling unit.
The filling unit consists of Filling Head, Syringes & Nozzles; Syringes & Nozzles are made of AISI SS 316L materials. A Star Wheel is provided which holds the vial during filling operation. A sensor is provided for ”No Vial-No Filling” operation. Syringes are mounted on eccentric block and driving through bottom main gear box. Volume can be increase & decrease by increasing or decreasing stroke length of piston as per filling size. Syringes is having non return valve for sucking and delivering situation to avoid volume variation. Liquid reaches to filling nozzles through silicon transparent pipe. Nozzles having up & down movement with help of cam mechanism, and it come down when vial hold by starwheel for filling operation and starts filling when it starts to move up and after completion of filling operation, starwheel delivers two vials together on conveyor for rubber stoppering operation.
Stoppering unit consist of Star wheel, Vibrator unit and Bowl. The sterilized and siliconized rubber stoppers stored in the vibrator bowl moves vertically to the rubber stopper chute. The vial is hold firmly by starwheel, which will be in continuous rotary motion and vial which is coming from filling unit get in to starwheel and move in rotary direction along with starwheel, during movement it picks up the rubber stopper from the exit end of the chute and rubber stopper pressed by fix single pressing roller, which is spring loaded. Then vial further move on conveyor and collected on out feed starwheel for next sealing operation.

A Vial Filling Machine is an automatic pharmaceutical machine designed to accurately fill sterile liquids (or powders in specialized models) into glass vials. It typically integrates vial feeding, precise filling, and rubber stoppering in a single monoblock unit. These machines are widely used for injectable products such as vaccines, antibiotics, and biologics under strict aseptic conditions.
The machine supports 2 ml to 250 ml fill volumes.
It is suitable for a wide range of round glass vials with quick-change parts for different formats.
The machine provides high filling accuracy of ±0.5% to ±1%. It uses precision piston pumps or peristaltic pumps with SS 316L syringes and non-return valves, ensuring consistent dosing and minimal variation even with different viscosities.
Yes. It is designed for aseptic processing with SS 316L product contact parts, compatibility with laminar airflow (Class 100), and features like “No Vial – No Filling” and minimal open-vial exposure time. Nitrogen flushing (pre & post filling) is available for oxygen-sensitive products.
Major features include:
These reduce wastage, prevent spillage, and enhance operator safety.
